Problem or Solution?
I was recently reminded of this very simple truth. People in my neighborhood were sharing on social media how upset they were that people didn’t clean up after their pet. I thought to myself: What are they talking about? I never see what they are seeing. I mean there was a whole thread talking about…
What brings you joy?
I ask because I am sometimes at a loss as to what brings me joy. I mean when we are kids, we grab our matchbox cars and take them outside, happily making “roads” with the grass. We get with a group of kids and play Kick the Can or Kickball until the dinner bell rings….
Us against Them mentality at its Peak
Wherever I look, I see memes, articles or quotes telling us not to let THEM get to us. Most of the time, it is disguised as a motivational message. But in many instances, there is a sense that you need to rise above THEM, whatever THEM is being referenced. Don’t let THEM get to you….

Pandemic: The woman next door
During this 2020 pandemic, I’ve been home. I’ve spent the majority of my time on my back porch, with my new rescue dog, Zelda. I smiled every time my neighbor came outside, yelling at Leo to go potty. Her sass, her love of that tiny yappy dog gave me a chuckle. Every time their neighbor’s…
Going with the flow can be a beautiful thing!
I’ve written about my rescue dog, Zelda. How sad I was when I discovered her fear of the leash, among other things. Some of the ramblings were my prior dog (Sweeper) ran with me, It was a partnership, there was mutual joy . . . and on and on it went. I would imagine we…
