I will never forget getting my first cat as an adult. This cat needed a home and I decided to go for it. I was pretty closed off from love. At this point in my life, I had created large shields around me. She wanted to give and receive so much love and I was having a hard time coping with it. The constant following me around, rubbing against me was too much. However, Trubbs was persistent! I will never forget the moment when I realized I was her………..and this is all I had ever wanted…….and I melted. It was a huge turning point in my life and I will never forget it. Trubbs taught me how to live and love again. She taught me it was safe to allow others in. This was about 23 years ago and over the years I have allowed many animals in and have helped rescue some. Each animal has given me a message, has taught me something, has allowed me to heal. I am forever grateful for the animals of the earth.. I send them great love, gratitude and a gentleness which they have always given to me. Hug an animal today and feel yourself melt……..
